H1 Stainless source?

Like the title says does anyone have a source for H1 stainless? I'd like to try it but can't find any anywhere.

I'm not aware of any source for H1. May I ask why you would want it? If you are set up to work stainless there are other steels, like S30V, that will far out perform H1 in most areas, unless maybe you want to make a salt water dive knife....

I want to make a salt water dive knife. I love My Spyderco Paramilitary II which is S30V. I'll look at it.

A salt water dive knife is about the only area where I can see that H1 would be better than S30V. If you want absolute salt water resistance you could look at Stellite or Talonite or the generic name for those materials which is Cobalt 6A (or something like that). All those could be terribly expensive in a blank big enough for a dive knife but blades made from them perform fairly well (maybe not as good as H1 though). In a pinch you could simply use titanium, maybe with some serrations on it to help it cut. Its impossible to break a 1/4" bar of titanium by hand so it would work as a pry bar and it ignores salt water and the price is reasonable....
