Question Bench Grinder Attachment

Does anyone have any experience/opinions on the attachments that turn one side of you bench grinder into a small belt grinder? Appreciate any input of a friendly nature.

Here is a site for those. I have not used any of these, but, IMO, they would certainly be better than some alternatives I have seen discussed.

Thumbs up

I was lucky enough to pick up a 2x36 cheap the week after my 4x36" died. MUCH BETTER I've added a hi-temp glass platen to it.

It grinds well, tracks pretty good, contact wheel is usable and the disk is fair. At $180 plus the cost of a grinder you could get a Grizzly for another $100.

Belts have to be special ordered or a 4x36 cut in half (which I do).

My opinion? Not bad, but for $100 extra you could get a 2x72.
