O1 / Manzanita Hardwood
7-3/4'' O1 palm-size drop point
oversized choil, thumbgrip , real comfortable in hand 8oz leather , my arrowhead design I call it anyways super shaving sharp thanks for looking , and yes Ray I heat treated this same time as the ebony so it probably contracted the measles at the same time .......LOL !!! I had a good chuckle over that !! it seems almost every other knife order of late requests this finish......the blade has an f/c bath for 10 sec wipe , 10 sec wipe , 5 seconds rub hard, 5 sec rub harder and so on __________________ R.Watson B.C. Are the pins peened over washers set into the handle or are they contrasting Loveless bolts? A nice little package there anyway.

Very nice looking knife and sheath combo. I have a piece of that manzantia and couldn't remember what it was called.
Just curious, why not leave the actual forged in texture from the original forging instead of follow-up texturing? It looks a little "forced" to me. __________________ Carl Rechsteiner, Bladesmith Georgia Custom Knifemakers Guild, Charter Member Knifemakers Guild, voting member Registered Master Artist - GA Council for the Arts C Rex Custom Knives Blade Show Table 6-H |

Those are Loveless bolts , however the washer and peened over pin sounds interesting __________________ R.Watson B.C. Canada |

as for the texture it was simply buyers request "I want it to look just like the one on your website" so I was happily to oblige but I do know what your saying..... Rob __________________ R.Watson B.C. Canada |

It was a "gifted" piece that has a lot of figure in it, but small like you say. Just waiting until I forge just the right size blade in san mai or chain to do it justice.
Yeah.....customer is always right. Simple enough. __________________ Carl Rechsteiner, Bladesmith Georgia Custom Knifemakers Guild, Charter Member Knifemakers Guild, voting member Registered Master Artist - GA Council for the Arts C Rex Custom Knives Blade Show Table 6-H |

Great looking knife Rob!
Love the shape and compact size of it and yes it looks sharp (that can be taken two ways). I also like the ferrules on the leather lanyard. Great attention to detail. Thanks for sharing. Dan |
