Yes, I would say that it's coming together very, very nicely.

Here it is, I do like this one. Pics in direct light show The silver/while in the hamon. Pics in shadow show the handle better.

That came out VERY well! That's one you can be proud of. Now it needs a matching sheath ....

Oh man! I would love that knife! Well done Ricky. How did you attach the horn?

Thanks everyone.

Metal99, It is attached like any hidden tang. I drilled the horn out from both sides to get the curved channel I needed. Then I welded a piece of all thread to the pommel/buttcap. I epoxied the end cap onto the horn, Then I mounted the guard and peened the pin and blended it into the filework. Then I used JB weld to fill in the metal spacer to give it a tight fit and epoxied it on. then when everything was dry, I filled the handle with epoxy and inserted the tang, using clamps to hold it in place.

Almost Everything I make, I make for myself and I have full intention of keeping it, and at the same time almost every knife I have made I have sold. Does that make sense? lol

There are 2 reasons for that.
One, on the knives I've made where someone handed me money and asked me to make a knife, there was a very high level of pressure. The knife was not very fun to make. It absolutely HAD to come out right... (Sorta like how I love Mountain Lion Hunting, but found I hated guiding mountain Lion hunts)

Second a finished knife Often represents enough Capital to make even more knives and so, Off they go, when an offer is made.

Thats a long way around to saying I will probably sell it, I just haven't given it any thought since I still have to think of a sheath for it.

Here I am again with a knife that needs a leather sheath and I haven't yet got the tools, knowledge or space to do it.

I swear I'm going to start working leather...soon

all I need are time, tools, supplies, space... haha

It is Finished, My brother told me he would like to make the sheath for this knife. He got a leather craft set for Christmas and thought he was up to the task. He brought it to me tonight and I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. He did an outstanding job.

Here it is.
