beaver tail leather

Has anyone had experience using beaver tail leather? If so how heavy is it? Is it very durable?

Mark - I've used some but it's been awhile - mainly you would want to use similarly to snakeskin or any other exotic as an inlay or accent.

here's an example of a mtn man pouch that I have in my archives (I didn't make it though) - the beavertail is used as the flap on this "beavertail style poucj"

The beautiful sheaths created for storing the knife elevate the knife one step higher. It celebrates the knife it houses.
