Setup Help
Hey all,
I am just getting back into blade making after a long hiatus and I was never too "official" in my making. I am looking to pick up a couple pieces of equipment and would love some advice. I am looking to buy: kiln for heat treat (evenheat?) an affordable plasma cutter (does that exist?) I won't be cutting very thick stock with the plasma cutter. under an inch for sure. any help is very appreciated thanks all Joey |

Evenheat is a good oven, I think USA Knifemakers handles them and a few others.
Don't know about affordable plasma cutters but why would you particularly need one? I know they can be used but most of us do just fine with a bandsaw and those are affordable ... |

There are plasma cutters for 1/4" or thinner for under $200. The hassle is that you need a good air compressor. Go to a welder's supply store.
