Got it Done!

I got this finished before Christmas!! big victory in my book, and a sort of milestone in my knifemaking career; knife #4

Starrett 496 tool steel (O1) purchased from wholesale tool 2"wide x 3/16 thick stock. flat ground the blade - the tanto tip seemed simple, but it was tricky and made me nervous! hand sanded to 180 grit, then sand blasted and gun koted black. no taper in the tang. differential heat treat.

The green Micarta scales I bought from Knifekits, picked up some 7/16 brass tubing from local hardware store. I used Accra-Glass to attach scales along w/ tubing.

Man this was fun to make - slow- but I got it done on time!!!

I made a kydex sheath, but it looks more like a ping-pong paddle that a tactical knife sheath - So I'll redesign and try again.(and repeat if necessary)

Comments welcome, I'm new and still learning a ton! I hope you like
