One for a Friend

This is a skinner that a friend asked me to make.

1084
Blade = 3.5"
OAL = 7.75"
Scales are Cocobolo and buffalo horn with red liners.
I stille need to clean it up and make the sheath.

Oh, both the knife and the sheath have my mark on them, just hard to see in the pic.

Well, this knife I made for a friend - will never be delivered. He passed away this morning. I am going to put it up for auction on a Washington State Hunting site that we both are member of. The money will go to his wife.

I talked with her about it, I am their Pastor, and she thought it'd was a nice idea.

I really looked forward to giving it to him for Christmas, but none of knows nor can we pick the time or place of our death. I am just glad that he knew Jesus.

Sorry to read of your loss. I hope you are able to find joy to celebrate his life with his family in such a difficult time. The knife is beautifully done, and I hope it sells at a premium.
