Got a new knife but...............

Hello all

I'm new at knife crafting

I'm from Quebec,Canada

All i am doing for now is testing the metals i will be working with.

Welcome to the forum, David! If the metals you are working with is material you found laying around or perhaps in the local hardware store you may be wasting your time...

na i will be using 1085 or 410 etc.etc.etc i have not picked my steel yet

OK, well 1084 (assuming a misprint on the 1085) is good blade steel but 410 is not at all suitable for a blade...
