Custom Micarta Handle on Trailmaster

Hey all, I know this certainly doesn't fall into the custom knife build category, but since Im a novice its the best I could do at the moment and was hoping for some feedback...

Recently finished my first re-handle with my home made micarta on my trailmaster... Its my first attempt at micarta or a handle job so its far from perfect, but Im pretty happy with the end product...

Thanx, layers are equal 1:1 Originally was going to do 2 or 3 black to 1 red but changed it at the last min, I am diggin the more red... Used 3M's resin, after initial sanding and cutting I did a few dips in a gloss polyurethane, thinking Id get a great shine.

What I didn't realize about the poly is that its really too soft to get a high shine, so I sanded in back down pretty well and recoated it with some CA. The CA I was able to sand to a nice shine and finished it with a buffing wheel and some green polish...

CA is the abbreviation for Cyanoacrylate.... Or better known as super glue.
