Git Back!

Well, I know it's the guy behind the camera, not the camera itself, that makes good photographs, but I just bit the bullet and bought me a 6 megapixel camera.

I don't think it will make a lick of difference in my web pics, which are all relatively low resolution, but it will make a real difference in the pictures that I want to print out as 8" x 10" prints. With my 2 megapixel Olympus, even using TIFF format, they were pretty grainy. Time will tell if it was a good investment.

You now have a great camera for taking a picture of your empty wallet. I bet it set you back a few bucks. You will be able to blow those pictures up to poster size I would bet. Looking forward to seeing some of the pictures. Big boys, big toys.

: : : Good one Bob! And so true too.

Congratulations on the new camera Don. I can't even imagine having one that nice. Mine is only a 1.6 megapixel and I was tickled pink to get that.

The current issue of PC magazine is what pushed me over the edge. The Fujifilm Finepix 6900 was given the Editors Choice award, and that's what I bought. Believe it or not, I got it for less than I paid for the Olympus 2 or 3 years ago. This hummer can be had for just over $500 with a bit of web shopping.

You have got to be kidding me.

I bought the Sony Mavica MVC-FD92 which can use disks and/or memory sticks. The disks are mainly for shooting lower res JPEG's. You have to use the memory stick for the higher res TIFF's.

Seems like I bought a 64 MB memory stick. After buying the memory stick, an extra battery and a carrying case (which is optional for some reason), it was way more than that. Close to $800 I think.

Sounds like you got a mighty fine deal.

Don, we all expect a complete run down on it's operation. Will it take a standard PC connectionm for a flash?

Bob ... now that's funny! I'll sure agree. You would need a 6MP to shoot my wallet to find any money in there ...
