M. Fong: hunter from '96
Dug out the second knife made in '96. Did this on the single speed Burr King. The finish is ok, I thought I worked pretty hard to not have coarse grit but it is there. LOL Linen Micarta with red phenolic spacers. I didn't finish shaping the handles as I went onto other projects in the day.
Can't recall the last flat grind I did but probably back in the late 90's as I did hollow grinds then on. __________________ Mike |

Nothing the matter with a flat grind.
I only do a hollow grind on hunting knives and never for a kitchen knife.
The knife looks good for a freshman knife from your beginner past. A nice subdued drop point is my go to hunting knife style plus a clip point. Nice knife Mikey. |

Thanks Jim.
Brings back memories of those times. I found a couple similar pieces which will remain unseen. Drop and clip points are classics. __________________ Mike |
