More Heat Treat Info

This is on the back of the heat and color chart.

Was rereading "The PocketKnife Manual", by blackie Collins who interviewed Felix Mirando of Imperial Knife Assoc. Companies. In the interview Mirando said that 1095 steel was heat treated as follows.

Blades, tempered to 57-58

Springs 46-48

I am assuming he was meaning Rockwell "C" scale.
