Thumbs up Swing Adapter For Finish Grinder

Oh yea, I got the swing adapter plate to day for the finish grinder attachment. It is sweet.

Bolted it down with a 3/8" bolt and used some 1/4"-20 bolt for leveling feet.

You can easily swing is around and flip it to horizontal, and away you go.

It runs smooth as silk, no vibration at all.

Looks like I'll be working on some folders this weekend!

Cool pivot. Tell me, is it my imagination or is that a TEFC motor about to run without the cooling air that it needs. Enjoy...Ken

Bob Likes his grinder on top of the bench.
When I put mine together I swimg it over the edge of the bench and use the bench edge as the stop. This way it leave air around the motor fan.

Glad yo like it Bob.

Ken,

Actually I have some rubber washer material from the hardware store that I cut out partial circles to go on each side of the motor and this raises the motor about 1/8" for air space.

Darrel,

Thanks! This baby is really going to be nice!
Now get on to the design for the flip and rotate 9" disk grinder!

This swing arm will work with a disk grinder!
As for an inexpensive one hum.
Mine are all set up horizontal.
I would love to see a disk grinder with a variable speed motor for around 300.00.
The variable speed make all the difference in the world on these grinders. How about a pulley set up?
