Stub tang knife - Product improvement

Hi all

Not long ago i made my first hidden tang knife in a while. I really liked the design i made, so after reading your comments i tried doing some improvements to the design.

I changed the slope and geometry on the back of the handle and beefed up the overall handle.
I changed the geometry of the blade a little.

I tried using S304 for the guard. It wasn't so bad working with as i'w read on multiple sites :-)

Ermine v02
Blade: 01 steel
Guard: S304
Pin: S304
Spacer: Blue fiber
Handle: Brownheart wood

Original design:

Improved design:

My first time adding makers mark. I didn't etch the logo deep enough though :-( I'll get that next time.

OK..... just to nit pick something about this..... 1: id have beveled the front of the guard a bit more to make it easier for sliding into the sheath. 2: not drop the back of the handle down quite as far. this is mostly personal aesthetics. i cant comment on how it feels to hold from just a pic. 3: id aslo have taken the grind all the way up to the spine.

these are just the things I'D DO differently, not that you have to change those things. that being said.... IT LOOKS LIKE YOU DID A GREAT JOB! the fit and finish look very clean. is that transition between handle and guard curved too? Makeing 2 curved faces match up like that is not always the easiest thing to do. that texture on the face of the guard is a fun touch.

Nice work! I like to hold a well rounded-shaped handle.
