Yesterday

Well, ladies and gentlemen, after each one of these get-togethers, I seem to say the same things....what a great group of friends and family you all are!! As always, Scott and his family made us all feel welcome, and served a great meal....I met Scotts Dad yesterday, driving one of the "shuttles" up and down the hill, and that just added to the fun. It is so special to see his whole family involved in Scott and his passions for knives and his friends... Thank You again!

Also, on behalf of the 3 young men (and one father who bills himself as the bus driver) who came to our meeting yesterday, I want to say thank you to the club in general for your generous help in my efforts to help these young men get involved, in a serious way, with making knives! They will be working for school credit at Columbus High School, which is a magnet school, and has just been recognized as one of the top 5 high schools in the state. Frankly, I was surprised that the school agreed to allow this, but am also happy that they did. I think we can all agree that Political Correctness has gotten out of hand. The boys will have to keep photo records, and a written paper for the school, and the plan is that you will be able to see these things also. This is a very serious endeavor, and your help and advice is welcome and needed.....Thank You....James

As always, James, it was great to see you. With you on PC, pile of horse droppings.....people are people are people.....no true way to legislate that with out infringements.
Those were some fine young lads you brought up to the meeting. Wish I'd had more time to spend with them. Looked like they had a great time. Are you still thinking about bringing them up for some hands-on forge exposure later this summer? Give me a call if it looks like a doable.

Sorry for the late post, but i just seen this. James , it is alwasys a great feeling to have the guild to hold one of their meetings at my home and shop. We all enjoy it, even thou its hard work to get ready for it. We enjoy doing anything that will futher the good of the guild. We are glad everyone seemed to enjoy being there. Atleast we didnt have all the rain this year, and had plenty of asphalt parking at the church, with a short shuttle on the kubota's. Its always nice to be able to have plenty of room to sit while you eat, in an air conditioned building. All in all , everything went well. Glad we could help. Scott
