It's virus time again!

I've gotten about 15-20 of these bogus emails in the last few days. It's a mass mailer that apparently will claim that you sent something infected to someone. Here's what I read:

"To all users,

There is a new virus that started spreading around the internet yesterday called "Novarg". In a very short time, this virus has become very widespread. An infected E-mail appears in your mailbox as a "undeliverable mail" message... It is made to look like an E-mail that you sent out was undeliverable. In fact, you did not send an E-mail, this is just a "fake" message to catch your attention.

You may also get "bounce" messages because when the virus spreads, it uses other people names as the "sender", so when someone who has you in their address book spreads the virus, it might in fact appear to be coming from YOU (which it is not), and if the intended recipient doesn't exist, the bounce message will come to you, not to the person who really has the virus.

Because this virus is so widespread, you are likely to receive E-mail messages carrying the virus. Our virus scanning software checks all incoming E-mail, and you may receive a message that your E-mail has a virus. The virus is blocked and you cannot catch it... The E-mail is just letting you know that a virus was detected in your incoming E-mail."

Hope you don't get burned.

Coop
