Randall knife sheaths Ca. 1962 -1972
During the period that Johnson was making sheaths for Randall knives
Was the leather simply vegetable tanned and leaving the shop simply with its very light tan original color ? Meaning they were NOT stained darker in any way . I have a sheath that has been sealed in a plastic bag for at least 3 or 4 decades and its color is incredibly light . Thus the thought that maybe it was never finished completely. Not Stained ? ? ever. |
