Thumbs up Making a fixed blade hunting knife from raw materials

This course consists of making a hunter of your own design and style with the help of your instructor.

The instructor will help with the design fundamentals, then lead you all the way through making the knife from start to finish.

The blade will be made using the stock removal process.

Minimum required equipment:

Drill press, belt sander, assorted drills, reamers and a countersink bit, hand tools and sandpaper.

Materials required:

Air hardening blade material, such as A2, D2, ATS34, RWL34,154CM. CPM S30V, etc.

Bolster material such as brass, copper, stainless steel, nickle silver, etc. and pin material to match.

Handle material of your choice.

2-ton epoxy.

Length of course is 45 days.
