Corrosion?
Good day,
Looking to make sure that the knife I’m making for my wife won’t run into issues. I’m looking to use brass spacers between layers of pattern welded steel and between the steel and the handle (paper macarta). It will be a carry piece so there is always a chance of getting wet. I’m worried about bi-metallic corrosion or just regular corrosion if steel and brass aren’t subject to bi-metallic. Do I need to seal with epoxy in between or is this asking for trouble. I know gold would be immune to issues but can’t afford enough to do it. Jim __________________ I cook with a flair for the dramatic, and depraved indifference to calories |
