Ray, you are the man for organizing this project. Being new to knife making, I feel that all were welcomed regardless of experience. I know that I was very timid about joining in. A lot of time and energy went in to all of our knives and I will be proud to have any of them. I can't wait until this turns out. I am looking forward to the next KITH and will diligently strive to bring my level of work up to the standards of I have seen here.
Again, thank you to Ray and all of the others who took part.
Billy

I agree, thanks Ray for managing the KITH and for everyone who made a knife. It has been a great learning experience. And I can't wait to get some feedback on my knife.

I love the challenge of this and look forward to doing many more! It would be so cool if we could gather enough interest to do these bi monthly. Assuming we could get enough participants!

I'd be game to do another KITH as well. I like the fact that there are time constraints because it pushes me to get er done!
Thanks Ray for organizing the KITH and encouraging us rookies to participate!

You're all welcome! It is a good bit of work though. Fortunately, I'm retired and can manage the time. And, we will do another but we need to finish this one first...that means time for the knives to be shipped, time for critique, and so on. Time to decide what the next KITH should be. We'll get to it, be patient.

Well crap, I just thought to check over here and see if you guys were doing a KITH this year. I guess I was a little late. I had a great time doing it last year. They all look nice this time around.

We'll probably be doing at least one more KITH this year, possibly two. You just need to make a habit of checking in here at least once per day, it only takes a second to see if anything new is going on. Or, drop in to the Chat Room on any Sunday afternoon...

I'd prefer not in order to keep this from turning into a competition. I will say that everybody pretty much liked all the knives to the extent that no one's knife fell into the lower half of the possible scores. This left all 12 knives in the upper half and spread out such that only a few points separated one from another.

I will say that people seemed to like my knife a lot and voted it fairly high. Whether they did this because they really thought it was that good or because I set up this KITH and they felt like they had to I don't know. But, since you got my knife that means you had to rank right next to me, therefore your score was also high. Whether it was higher than mine or just below you'll never know ....... 8-{
