I found a great knife maker to work with me

Hi guys. Well I found someone to work with me. His name is Bobby Toole. As a collector, I would consider him a master knife maker. If you have ever seen his work, you would too. I had him make me a knife a few years ago, and it was and still is one of my favorites. It Eggerling demascus bolsters and blade, and awsome mammoth ivory scales. I am so looking forward to working with him. His fit and finish is second to none. i just though I would drop and give an update on my search.

I hope to giving you guys some good pics before to long.

That's great! I'm sure you'll shorten the learning curve a bunch by having someone to work under.

Back about ten years ago, I purchased my very first Custom off of eBay. A pearl handled folder with a LOT of filework. Maker: Bobby Toole.

It gave me much pleasure to show and handle. I have since sold it, but the fine memory still resides. Tell Bobby he had some part in the launch of my now-VERY-successful career in Custom Knives.

I'm sure he's gotten that much better by now. Best of learning to you.

Coop

I sure will. I actually talked with him earlier for about an hour; in the next couple days, I will speak with him again. I maybe going to his shop this weekend for some work and 45 mins isn't to bad of a drive. I will try to get some pics of the knife he made for me.
