New member - Hello all.

I've been making knives for a few years. Still have a lot to learn, that's why I'm glad I found this forum. I need all the help I can get. I make knives using blades bought from suppliers like, Texas Knife, Damascus USA, Jantz and some smaller places. Occasionally I will grind a blade using the stock removal method. I would really like to learn how to forge a blade.
Since I'm also a carver/woodworker, I sometimes make custom display stands and custom display boxes.
If I can figure out how to post a picture I will do so.

Welcome Don! You'll be allowed to post pictures after you've been here a while, just keep trying. You're welcome to ask any questions here that you may have but be aware that we also have a separate forum for kit knife builders (although most of us start with kits too) ......

Welcome.
NC has a Guild....check their forum out further down in KNF.
Batson/ABS does a Hammer-in seminar at Haywood College in WNC just a little west of Asheville as well. All the forging you can stand.
