Bob Warner calling rhrocker

In response to your inquiry in another thread about how I am getting along.

Since my wreck three years ago I have found a crappy job with a Demo company and have been there for two years. About six months ago I fell off of a defective ladder (because the owner is to cheap to keep safe stuff around) after moving a dump bed from one truck to another and I was grinding on the front of the dump bed when the ladder just twisted out from under me. I broke the L2 vertebra in my back, broke my ring finger on the right hand and dislocated my "TALL" finger on the right hand. Being right handed is just not a lot of fun with messed up fingers.

Unfortunately I can't find a job anywhere else. Been trying the last two years. The last good job I had requires a degree now, which I don't have. I used to manage three departments and am not qualified to work in any of them now.

Of course the physical labor type jobs are out because I hobble like I am 100 years old between the leg and the back.

I am doing some side jobs welding but not enough to support me or I would quit the place I work and go full time. Nobody is hiring around here and due to the economy getting side work is hard.

I would really like to open a Fabrication shop and am building a trailer right now for my welder and oxy/acyt setup. I have a lot of good ideas for the trailer that I could incorporate into trailers for sale but here in Texas there are a lot of places building trailers.

It never ends and I am just tired of it all and wish something would change but it does not look like it will be anytime soon.

Thanks for checking.

Don,

Not all my life, from newborn to about age 7 things were just fine.

You deal the hand you were dealt (and continue to be dealt) and try to climb out of the hole.

Now that my kids are grown my main goal is just to be sure I can provide my wife with the medicines she needs and a place to live. Not much else matters.
