Looking To Buy Some Yards Of Barbour'a Linen Threads

Howdy,
I'd like to try out the Barbour 5, 6, and 7 ply cords to get an idea of what each is like before I buy an entire roll for $46.50.I thought maybe it might be more economical to try to buy a small amount from a member here, if that would be possible?. The thing is, I live in Italy and I have to pay around $25 for shipping plus another 25% when it arrives in Italy for taxes, duty and extra VAT for a grand total of about $85. Lots of bucks for just a
whim, but I've read so many good things about Barbour linen thread that I decided to try it out.
Of course I am willing to pay the shipping costs in addition to paying for the threads.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Been hunting a source of linen thread online the past few days. Came up with this site. Ordered a couple of spools. Don't have a clue if it will be usable on sheaths. If nothing else I can furl it into 8-ply, eh?

The 4-ply waxed linen thread arrived promptly from TurtleFeather and seems like high quality stuff. Working with the black on a sheath right now and quite happy with it. The packaging included a label that had both the seller's logo and his source's.

Below is a link to the source. They carry all kinds of threads: Anybody looking for Embalmers' Thread??

I just bought about 1800 yards of Barbour's unwaxed 3 cord natural pure flax sinew. Its more than I'll ever need so if anyone wants a dozen yards I'd be happy to share.
