Latest Skinner


Here is one I finished recently.
Balde material is ATS-34 Guard, pins and thong tube are copper. Handle material is Giraffe bone. Blade length is 4 1/4 inches and the overall is 9 inches.

Very nice Mike.

Everything looks really nice. But boy does that giraffe bone makes it look small. :

Them gerafts must be big honkers ..... huh

This one is not stabalized. I have used it both ways and can tell very little difference in the two. I finished this one a couple of weeks ago and then laid it aside for over a week to see if the bone was going to move any. After two weeks of changing weather conditions the scales haven't changed a bit, The pins are still fulsh and the scales are still perfectly flush to the edges of the tang.That is one of the things I like so much about this material, unlike ivory of any type it just doesn't seem to shrink or swell with heat or humidity changes.
