New design (drawing)....what do you think??

This is a new design I am working on. I would like to hear some opinions before I make it.
Overall length is 16.5", Blade is 10.8" tip to bolster

Nice lines Jens. Are we going to see a Rhino3D rendition?

This looks like a major departure from your existing designs, it must be twice the length of anything we've seen from you as well as having a completely new handle shape.

Talk us through it, why did you depart from those amazing sheepsfoots (sheepsfeet?)?

Why the integral guard and separate bolsters rather than a bolster/guard?

Hah, bet you didn't think you'd get an interrogation did you? :

it is going to be either 1/4" RWL-34 or ATS-34 depending on what stock I have that fits.

Well I am not moving away from my Sheepfoots.....not a chance! It is very popular...gonna grind 35 blades in various materials the following weeks just for Sheepsfoots.

Well I think I need people to know that I can make big ones too and I felt like building something BIG.

Well I do not like guards that are soldered on...and I kind of like the idea of the integral guard with the bolster to sort of finish the handle. Reason why I did it seperat is I thing it would look too big if the guard was covered by the bolster.

Jens, with the guard design you have there I think it would give an extra grip for extra control in certain conditions.

Jens I think it would look better if you have the bolsters cover the guard and shorten the handle to not more than 5" The added bolster material would put more weight in the handle area and actually make the blade feel lighter(better balance)
