1st Fixed Blade in a While

I've been so caught up in folders that this is the first fixed blade that I've made in a while.

Description:

blade: 4"
overall: 8 1/2"
steel: S30V
handle: extended guard & rear dove-tailed bolsters of 416 stainless, scales of ironwood

i'm wondering about the mottling on the blade - is that usual with s30v. seems that this stuff doesn't like to finish well.
