That is a great first effort. It looks very well finished, cleanly done. I like the simplicity of it, and the decoration with the pins in the handle is nice.
Well done! Welcome to the Forums! |

Fantastic !!!
Dan,
That is a beautiful knife!!! Great lines, great handle material, and I love those pin placements!! I just completed my first knife about a month ago..isn't it a wonderful feeling!!! Your workmanship is fantastic ! I can't wait to see the next one! Can you give us some details...what type of steel, pins and handle material? Thanks for sharing ! Keith |

Dan,
Great, clean, usable and well designed, what more can one want from a first blade? Looks fantastic, be proud. Thanks for sharing, Jim __________________ I cook with a flair for the dramatic, and depraved indifference to calories |

Man these first knife guys are something ... !!
I am truly amazed at the quality and fit and finish of many of the "first knives" being shown. This is a truly superb example. I like the shape, the handle, the pins, everything !! I'm now at 300+ knives, but I'd be proud to make something like that myself !
Keep up the good work, get your image posting skills up there and share !! 2 thumbs up !! Jason. __________________ JASON CUTTER BLADEART Jason Cutter @ Dr Kwong Yeang Knifemaker, Australia (Matthew 10.16) |

Tired?
Those tired old eyes looked pretty dog gone sharp when I peered into them a couple of weeks ago. Amazing things are happening here in Georgia, seems like a bunch of sheaths destined for Tenino are almost ready to fly! By the way, to keep me honest--- for a first knife, I have to take my hat off to this lad. As the word goes, "he did good!" Sandy
