1979 9yr old real first knife
I made this knife when i was 9 years old with one file and a drill. I did not have a vise or any other tools except a knife to cut the handle. That was in 1979 i think. I made this knife for show and tell and got an A on the project. I think it took at least a week to make.

It is high carbon steel im sure Dad got the steel from RCA. My dad made robots for RCA. The wood is Japan red maple. Every time i touch the knife i have to fight the desire to remake it. And it does have a temper that is why i took so long to make with a file.
