WTS: (Sold Pending Funds)1909 Springfield Armory "BOLO KNIFE" w/ 1912 Rock Island Scabbard, This is a rare collectable set, and considering the age, in pretty good shape. Pics available upon request
A requested, further info...To my knowledge, This is the real deal...Corpsman Bolo Knife. One side of blade: U.S. appears to have a serial # 31548, Oposite side S A (springfield Armory w/ what looks like a ball with a flame on top. w/ 1912 directly under it. The Sheath has a brass surrounding the sheath opening, with a military belt type clip attachment. On the backside of the sheath, is marked Rock Island Arsenal1912, H.E.K. AGAIN...I am able to send pics to YOUR email address if interested. Thanks for looking...Paul Cell# 774 207 9181 Last edited by NOLMAN; 04-15-2012 at 12:36 PM. Reason: More nfo: |

Please don't tease us, show a picture.
Is it a true BOLO or a Smatchet? If your knife is a original 1909 what other markings does it have besides US, the date and ser nunber, just wondering. I have a 1917 model Smatchet, never had a sheath for it though. The model 1917 was the 2nd Gen of the model 1910. Sorry I know I ask a lot of questions, just me. Jeff |
