sharp corners

I have noticed looking through pictures of the more artsy type knives that many of them have sharp corners. While this looks really good I can't help but wonder how comfortable they would be in the hand. Or is this not a concideration when you are talking about high end art folders?
Thanks
Steve

It probably isn't a very important consideration on an art knife but an even more likely reason they leave the sharp corners is that to round them would remove the color, texture, etc of the exotic handle materials usually used on such knives and thus affect the appearance in a negative way.....

I too have noticed that Steve. I am not an art knife maker b any means but if I were, I think I would remedy that percieved shortcoming. It would seem like building a super-duper car and not putting cushions in the seats. Maybe the appeal of the "Art knife" is just lost on me.....but Im with you on that obsevation.

I think the whole thing revolves around the intended use of the knife. If it is destined to become a wall hanger, then user friendliness is reduced to a nearly moot point. Obviously, if it is intended to be an EDC , or even for occasional use then things such as sharp edges and comfort become more meaningful.
