You're a tough ol bird Don, you'll be back healthy in no time. It's really a strange thing how a gland like that can cause a disruption in the thought process. I'm relieved that they located that rascal, but be sure and follow their directions when you get back home!
Godspeed.

Robert, just Google hyperparathyroidism and read all about it.

The gland has a growth on it that causes it to excrete PTH continuously. It's constantly circulating thru my blood stream to all parts of my body. Causes all kinds of bad things.Poison in this amount. Most Drs. don't know anything about it and they think it can be treated. Not so. It has to be removed.

My sincere thanks go to everyone for your good wishes.

Hey Don, I'm glad they found the problem and can fix it. Good to hear you will be healthy again. I know it's been bothering you for a bit. Rest and relax a little...

It'll take probably around 6 months to regain what strength I have, Dwayne. Right now I'm a limp noodle.

I had a test administered by a Neuropsychiatrist just before the surgery. I went back to MD Anderson last Tuesday and had the same test. The 2nd test compared to the first shows that my mental faculties have greatly improved with the exception of memory, and i can live without that.

So I've finished one slipjoint Texas Toothpick just for practice and have started a set of 2 linerlock barlows for a collector. I'm back!!!

Praise the Lord, MD Anderson Hospital and staff, and my surgeon, Dr. Nancy Perrier and her team.
