Robin, I used 3/16" thick 416 SS. The liners are about .050 -.060" thick. That makes a perfect thickness for the bolsters and scales. 1/8" thick.

Let's see your barlow when you finish it.

Thant's just beautiful Don, did you do the engraving yourself or did you send it away?


I'm really looking forward to getting to work on my trapper.

Thanks, Andy.

I wish I could engrave, Andy, but my motor (muscle/mind)control lacks a lot nowadays. Besides, I never learned.

The engraving was done by a local friend, one of my former students, who went to a school last year to learn engraving. He has made a lot of progress in that skill.
