yeah sorry about that. I should have been more specific. being new to all of this I have a tendancy to make mistakes, and I would prefer to make my mistakes with cheaper materials in the beginning. hahahah

speaking of which, where do most of you folks get your titanium? I looked on mcmaster-carr's website since I buy a lot of stuff from them and man their titanium is really really expensive.

I buy most of my Ti from Halpern Titanium. There's no reason to use Ti on a slipjoint unless you want to anodize the liners.
