Got a couple new folders almost finished.
I've been scarce here while working on orders.
I'll be posting a few photos of two knives I've just about finished next week. |

Here's one
This is a buttonlock folder made to order for a customer who is giving it to his son, a knife collector, for Christmas.
3 5/8" 440C blade is fully fileworked Alabama Damascus Steel bolsters forged by Brad Vise. South Texas Mesquite burl scales. Back spacer is made of D2 hardened steel with full filework. Liners are 3/32" 6al/4v titanium with light green/gold anodizing. A titanium leaf spring provides the kick to open the blade. This knife is made to my buttonlock folder design. |

Here's another one
This one has a 3 1/2" 440C blade with a hook for cutting fruit.
6al/4v titanium liners and bolsters are anodized a light green color. Fully fileworked blade and backspacer. Buttonlock construction like the first knife above. The owner owns a fruit orchard. This will be his Christmas present to himself. This is his EDC. Says he got tired of carrying a linoleum knife around to cut fruit. |

The attachments are not much bigger than the thumbnails. Old eyes need big pics!

That's due to the new forum software update, HDN. Unless you have a remote hosting service, the photo is limited to under 50kb. Sorry about that. Best I can do unless you want an email picture. |

That really bites! takes the pleasure out of knife pic viewing. I use my free space provided by my server, comcast. Don't seem to do anything to those pics. I will delete this pic after you respond.
Could not wait, had to delete it. sorry for messing up your post Don. Nice knives. __________________ "Many are chosen, but few are Pict" "The doer alone, learneth" NT Neo-Devo Last edited by hammerdownnow; 11-21-2005 at 04:39 PM. |

OK, HDN. I don't have a photo hosting site other than my own web page.
You old show off, you! 8>D |

Seems like you could make them any size you want on your end then. Just wondering.

I took your pic and saved it to my computer.
Then I took it to photo draw and resized it and save it again. Then I uploaded it to my website then posted it here. Hope I am helping and not just screwing things up. __________________ "Many are chosen, but few are Pict" "The doer alone, learneth" NT Neo-Devo |

Thanks for that.
Too bad I can't edit my photos as well as you do. The big one isn't sharp. I'd give you a big smilie, but Firefox isn't allowing that. 8>D |

I can't even take a photo heehee. I just slog along and barely get by. If not for my girlfriend Crystal, I would probably not even be online. I noticed it was a little out of focus but could not get it to come sharp so I just posted it as it was.
Getting back to those knives. Those are two very fine ones. That Ala. Damaskus makes a very striking pattern. I cut some of it for my Barlow that I am still working on. That fruit knife pattern will wow em' when he pulls that out and starts carving with it. That wharncliff blade would make a fine fruit knife itself. I think that is a most handy blade style for modern living. Beautiful work, as always. __________________ "Many are chosen, but few are Pict" "The doer alone, learneth" NT Neo-Devo |

Thanks, HDN. I agree that a wharncliffe blade is most useful. I carry one of mine. Love it for every day use.
I wish you'd finish up that barlow folder and let me see it. I'm connected now with IE, so I'll give you a big smiley. |

Thanks for the larger picture HDN . Yes, I like to see the work people put into their knives and especially the folders. Don, continues with his fine work with different touches on every one. I can't take pictures or use this computor worth a darn. I do have another one I'm pleased with up on Ebay. The item no. is 6581924899. I hope you like it too. frank
