I wish I was closer, I would love nothing better than to see the mountains of East Tennessee, Good Folks, Good Food and Good Times, all shaperoned by Bowies big Smiling face and his beautiful wife Phyllis.

Folks Ron puts on a Class Act that you would be hard pressed to find at any other venue. Like I said, Good Folks, Talented Demonstrators and a atmosphere of learning for the beginner, to the Master Craftsman. Its really fun to see folks that had never seen a custom knife before visiting and learning under a person that truely loves his craft.

I figure if I wait that long Obama should have all the highways fixed by the out of work doctors and nurses who will be working on the shovel ready projects. That, and free gas for my truck which I'm sure he'll provide pretty soon and I'll be half way there already ....

Ron, dear friend--------please forgive me for not getting back to you sooner. The **** seems to have ricocheted off the fan around here and I have have had so many irons in the fire that I never seemed to catch up.. I thought I might have been able to make it this year but events seemed to work against that desire. I have found out that it is not possible for me to be in more than one place at a time. I tried to fight the good fight and get all my orders completed before the Guild Show but have failed--big time! I am working this evening in my shop and hope to get some finished for some local boys that are leaving for Louisville in the morning. And then I am committed to the Trackrock hammer in which is the weekend of the 25th---only 7 miles from me!

I will try to drive up on Saturday for a visit but it is rather doubtful at this time. In any event, my very best to you, Bill Wiggins, and Johnny Allred. If at any time you are in this area, you have a place to stay and would be very welcome------Sandy
