Luminescent Powder and Epoxy Kits
Have been marketing these kits to local sporting goods stores and nail shops and thought knife makers might be interested since I'm now listing them on E-bay.

Is it similar to the stuff that Knife Kits has called Half life? I have some of that and its pretty cool stuff.

Sorry for the delay guys, I've been out of town. In answer to your question it is the exact same rare earth compound as Half Life and it is indeed very bright. I used it on firearms sights and fishing lures and flies before even thinking about using it on knives. I then started having alot of locals wanting to buy it and started selling it in these kit forms through my shop. I also have available the aqua and blue colors, however the green is the brightest and lasts the longest after being "charged". I also have it in just the powder in 8 gram (1/4 oz). For those who don't need or want the epoxy. They will be listing on Ebay soon or just give me a yell. The bottled powder sells for 8.95. These kits are now all sold out, and the auction has ended.

Looks like that stuff might be the ticket for the end of a catfishing rod. Can you mix it with about any urathane(sp?) or epoxy? If so I'd be interested in some of the powder only.

It mixes well with clear polyurethane, fingernail polish, epoxy, anything clear non water based. I have a customer who mixes it with a little epoxy and does the same thing you are talking about. I have another customer who masks a section of rod near the tip, puts super glue on the rod and then rolls it in the powder he does that a couple of times and then puts a final coat on to seal it. Another guy, who is a archery hunter dips the end of his sight pins in super glue and then dips it in the powder. I have several fishermen who paint the heads of their jigs and lures with it, they keep a bottle of it mixed up with fast dry clear acrylic finger nail polish in their tackle box. I painted a ring of it around the inside of the end of my flashlight, so if I lay it down or drop it in the dark it's sure easy to find. I'll have some more posted on EBay when I get my next shipment of it in.
