barrel pivet pin
if im using a barrel pivet pin do i make the hole in the blade the same size as the pin?

The simple answer is 'yes' but things are never really that simple. Make the hole a little smaller and then use a ream to open it up to the size of the pivot. If necessary, polish the hole to make the blade move smoothly.
Some pivots aren't really the size they say they are. A 1/8th pivot should be .125 but they might be off a few thou one way or the other. The best way is to measure each one and have a good drill index with all the numbered drills to make the right sized holes... |
