Never seen a knife with the measles before, looks pretty good anyway. I'd consider rounding the squarish corners on the handle though, and maybe thinning the quillon portion of the guard....

Great looking knife Rob! I just love the look of ebony with SS or NS. I have a huge piece of Gaboon ebony I am going to cut up soon and do something similar!

Looks great! If you don't mind me asking, where did you find that ebony? I haven't seen any that dark without lighter colors mixed in with it for a while now.

HFL , actually its been sitting for quite some time here waiting for the request so I was happy to use it with the customers request, its way nicer in person than pics can show , I actually bought the ebony from an old timer that closed shop many years ago......I do have a bit leftover but you are correct the real pretty stuff is hard to come by , thank you for your reply

huntforlife you should check and see if there is a WOODCRAFT chain store near you. I went to one in Franklin TN and saw some solid black ebony there.

almost , all black with light tooling and light sinew...
basic foldover with belt loop , fit is nice and snug..........pic's soon
