"TEASER" #2 Damascus making Processes...
Hello Everyone,
Though I should post one more "teaser" from book #3, "The Art of Custom Knifemaking", as it will be soon premiered at the June 2006 BLADE Show in Atlanta. This time here are the "end-products" of 12 Damascus forging projects that are displayed in detail in the book. I really hope to see all participating makers and many more of you regular Forum players at the show. Dennis knows most of you in person I will get one chance to do so - at the BLADE Show... It sure will be a grand event! David Darom (ddd) Last edited by ddd; 10-07-2006 at 08:30 AM. |

Great News!
Great news, my friends! I was just informed that part of the shipment
of Book-3 ("the Art of Custom Knifemaking") has arrived in Israel! The book, printed this time in Korea, was shipped by sea to the USA, Italy and to Israel. If all goes well, I shall begin shipping a copy to each and everyone of the participating makers next week on the 9-10th of May. The books will go out UPS or similar and knock on your doors within 2-3 days..... The rest of the public will have to wait till the BLADE Show in Atlanta for the official "premier". All pre-orders will be shipped from the USA and Italy after the BLADE Show. Copies ordered at the BLADE Show will ship free of charge in the USA. Hope you like what you see.... Can't wait to meet you all at the BLADE and get my personal copy signed by everyone. David (ddd) |

Hey Paolo! Nice to see you here in our forums...
I would have responded sooner but due to heavy construction in my neighborhood we've been without Internet connection for about a week. As it is, I'm accessing these forums from my business partner's house (the widespread Internet problem has also created some sort of glitch that has made it impossible to get at my e-mail...they tell us that it'll all be fixed by Saturday. In a strange way, for the past week it's been kind of a nice break to not be responding to e-mails all day long). David, that's exciting news about the delivered books. Although as the co-author I have seen most of the contents of the book in pieces, I have yet to see a copy of the final, printed book. I'm more than a little anxious to get my hands on my own copy(s). Really looking forward to seeing everyone down at the Blade show. David, Paolo, and I will be at the table signing copies of the book. Please stop by and pay us a visit!!! Dennis Greenbaum Last edited by Osprey Guy; 05-04-2006 at 09:59 PM. |

Shipping....
Hello everyone,
There were small delays in customs, transportation etc but I'll have the books with me this week and begin shipping copies to the makers. Sorry, but they get to see it first... I'll be shipping UPS or similar and the books should be on the way 2-5 days, so keep someone at home during the days of next week..... Hope you like what you see. Your responses will be most welcome! amazon.com.....
It usually takes about two years for such a book to get to be
distributed on amazon.com and it won't get to be much cheaper. At the BLADE Show next month, you can also get everyone to sign it for you..... Pre-ordering can be done at: Saviolo Publisher Mandeville, Louisiana 70470-2675, USA +1-985-792-0115 tel. +1-985-792-0199 fax ssj@saviolopublisher.com www.saviolopublisher.com Book-1 ("Art and Design in Modern Custom Folding Knives") is now sold on amazon.com for $41 + shipping, three years after being published. David, what are the chances of you signing my book before it's sent to me? I'm afraid I won't be at Blade this year. Getting anxious to see the end product!
