Grandpa's Old Knife
Can anyone help me find more info on the Queen Steel #2 2blade pocket knife? Its my grandfather's and I just found it as I'm cleaning out his old place to move in. I've got a nostalgic streak and a knife habit so I'd love to find out more about the history of this particular piece.

Queen Cutlery had the factory in Titusville, PA and marketed scissors, hunting, fishing, kitchen
and pocket knives to hardware stores and other retailers. this 1960 Queen Steel catalog may help: http://www.queencutlery.com/uploads/...94_-_1960_.pdf if you were hanging around hardware stores in the 60's (like myself) their display is familiar. you might make note of the often referenced "special steel formula" and "secret tempering process" your knife is on page 15 as you can see on page 52 the #2 pocket knife wholesaled at $19.80 per dozen. they seem to be collectible these days hope this helps |
