Knife retention methods
Id like to see some pics of various retention devices folks have used. As my knifemaking improves ,Im trying more styles of knives and it seems like each one needs a different type of retention mechanism for the sheath to blend with the knife .Also , I am trying to get away from using store bought items like snaps and such , so that everything will be "sole authorship"

Line the inside of the sheath with sheep's skin, that still has fur/wool on it, about 1/8 - 3/16. The soft compression will hold the knife snug without scuffing the finish. A tight fit without having to wrench it in or out.

Friction fit, Leather over Kydex, Gravity, Leather thong and leather thong through the strap where you slip the strap over the guard and pull the thong to snug it down and neodymium magnets.
