Crack in pyroceram platen

I was grinding my pyroceram platen to make it shorter and pyroceram cracked. Crack is 1/4 long. Do cracks in pyroceram tend to propogate or it'll stay as is?
Just thinking if it's save to keep using it.

Thanks,
Alex

Both my pyroceram platen have small chunks knoocked out and they haven't cracked any further. As long as you have a steel foot underneath the glass to keep it from sliding down the platen, and as long as the glass lays flat so that the edges of the crack stay at the same level, it should be fine ....

I had a small crack in mine. I filled it in with JB Weld and sanded it smooth. That was about five years ago and it's still going strong.
