Tom, congratulations! You'll just have to forgive some of the guys here. Mr. Clark is known to be the master of over-describing beauty in people. I'm quite sure that he would be disappointed to find out that only your fingertips brush the ground, that you carefully groom your fur and pluck out most of the tasty bugs for dinner and that a prominent front tooth only looks like a cigar in your picture. Are you and the Cap related or just share family features?

I keep the stogey firmly clenched to keep my tounge from dragging the ground. The dragging the ground part's not so bad, it's that I keep steppin' on it.

Order has been placed!
Tom, and all other interested parties,
The order has been placed. Per Tom's request (and seeing as how I did not have extra Ca. buckeye burl), here are the specifications for the first of his 2 knives: 1 ea. Model #6-9", Lg. Filet Knife- SS2(stainless steel blade over 5 1/2" long)-TN (thumb notches)- NS1 (nickel silver single hilt)- SQH (old style square top hilt)- ASP/BLK (aluminum and black spacers)- STG (stag handle)-ACB (aluminum "crow's beak" butt cap)- WT (wrist thong)- MAB (model "A" black sheath) Actually it is a Model "B" sheath, but...who's counting? Anyway: This is the first of the pair of 2 knives scheduled for this year. This one is "scheduled for July 27, 2006. With Randall's delay time currently, we will probably have this knife in hand by the end of August!! Not bad: Now: All of you. Tell Tom which length blade his "small companion" model #6 should be: 4 1/2" or 5". I can't wait to see this set in photos on this site! Best for now, Capt. Chris Stanaback P.S. Tom, I am sorry for sharing this with everybody, but...after all: they "did" have a hand in building it (or at least guessing what it was) CCS __________________ Captain Chris Stanaback |

Been a while..
O.K., Randall knife freaks,
I know it has been a bit of time, but...believe you me, you don't want to know how busy I have been and what I have been doing! Anyway: I just took 4 snapshots (as opposed to pictures or portraits) of my Model #6-9", "Large Filet Knife". I received it over a month ago. I know that the indoor quality of the pics is not the best and the color of the California Stabilized Buckeye Burl does not show itself off, but, under the gun, this is the best I can come up with...Later, Best, Captain Chris Stanaback __________________ Captain Chris Stanaback Last edited by crimsontide; 08-13-2006 at 01:12 PM. |
