Idaho Knifemaker Dies

Hi all,

I didn't know him, but some of you might so I thought I would pass along the information from the paper. Terry Kranning, of Pocatello died of a head injury after he fell during the Pocatello Pump rock climbing competition. The paper goes on to say "A renowned knife maker, Kranning also sponsored the competition, often donating his handmade knives to be given away as awards,".

I just thought I would pass this along in case anyone knew him on any of the forums and wondered about his absence.

Sad news. I didn't know Terry personally, but I did know who he was. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Terry was the editor of the Miniature Knifemakers Society newsletter, and a good, selfless guy. I just exchanged emails with him last week, and I am very, very sad to hear of this.

Another loss for us all. I really liked Terry's use of turquoise in some of his knives. My sincere condolances to his family.

I didn't know of Terry, but as I always do in situations such as this, I extend my deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
