If you ever get a chance to go to a meeting like Batson's don't hesitate. This is George Ezell who did the kitchen knife Kith a couple of years ago, (I got his knife) and myself (in the hat). George had some cool blades and a sword in progress that is going to be awesome.

One of the things, among many, is you get to watch masters of the craft demonstrat techniques. One of these was forging a tapered tang which I've never done. I took that home and put it to use with this cable Damascus blade. It will get some Micarta scales soon.

Dave's finished sheaths

Meant to give grey highlights to the black sheath, but the resist wouldn't hold against black. Thought you'd like the orangish brown for the orange and black knife. Passed it's tests with flying colors too Dave. Good HT of S35VN.

That is some great detail Damon. I'll have to show it to my son. He paid $350 for a portrait of his dogs and I think he'd like something like this, or at least his wife would for sure.

I bought this 30 year old telegraph key off eBay last week pretty cheap. In less than one day I restored it and now it's back on eBay. So far, there seems to be a lot of interest in it so I'm expecting to make a couple of bucks on it ...

Oyster Shucker for Dr. Senneker.

I made it from a small skinner I made at the machine shop where I was the heat treater of choice, but not my choice and I thought it was 440C, but as hard as it was to sharpen and finish I think it may be D2. Hey it was over 9 years ago, OK? lol It is right or left handed.

Also the end foto is a 12x18" machinist's square and a Starrett machinist's level and a Brown and Sharp 24" vernier calipers in case you need to make something that big within .001". That was the welding I did and the tools I needed. Carpenter squares mostly are not. They are for sale if anyone needs them. Have other Machinist ultra precision welder stuff too.

A late Father's Day gift from my son. He saw what I was using to cut my leather
for the KITH and got me this. A full razor set with all the goodies... Good Boy
