It could also be considered as racism or even a hate crime.

Ha! That is too funny.

Although, I just spent the past week in Ft. Worth, TX. They reported 13,000 people catching some form of the flu in the last couple of weeks, with a few dead from swine flu.

Get you shots, folks, this could be a rough winter.

Most of the health care workers I know are not getting them. They have not been adequately tested and a lot of adverse reactions reported. Far more people will die from the regular seasonal flu.

The swine flu vaccines of 1976 killed more people then the actual flu did.

Not fully studied yet, but this is something else to consider when thinking about getting flu shots.

Although I wasn't tested, I think I came down with a case of swine flu this summer. It had me out of work for about a week, and had problems doing short walks/hikes for a little over a month after that because of the problems with my lungs. My wife is following this one pretty closely, sounds like those in charge are scared, so be careful this year.

If they were safe the doctors and pharmaceutical companies would not need lawsuit protection from adverse reactions.

I don't gamble with my money and I sure as hell won't with my health or even life.

An informed decision is not based on just what your doctor and the news media tell you.

Well it's kind of academic as the military will be requiring it for me.

I have not read the bill in question (since I don't live in MA), but it appears the Massachusetts legislature wants to mandate flu vaccinations, as well as quarantines of citizens. I saw a short blurb on the news last month, and this story seems to coincide with what I saw:

That should be a wake up call to all of us when citizens are subjected to forced medical treatments. Worse yet for a flu that is very harmless compared to the regular seasonal flu. Since last April there have been only 300 deaths in the US from the H1N1 flu. Hardly an epidemic.

But never let facts get in the way of a sensational news story.

Yep. Let me tell you, it will be a cold day in hell before I allow myself or my family to be forcibly subjected to medical procedures of any kind by the government. The whole idea is distasteful on every level.

Thanks to the news media people are completely freaking out and thinking this is a "bubonic plague". My wife is a paramedic and people are calling 911 just for a slight fever and sore throat. So it's taking a lot of EMS units out and overloading the emergency rooms. At the same time people with heart attacks, strokes, trauma and other medical emergencies are not getting as good of care.

She has had dozens of confirmed exposures and has not had it yet. The vaccine was available to her and the entire crew and only one took it.
