Sambar stag ?

There's a guy on Ebay who has 70 sets of 5.5"x1.5" sambar stag scales for $23. I've only seen REAL sambar stag a few times and the center (marrow?) didn't look like this. This stuff looks like elk or whitetail deer or something like that. If its real, its pretty darn cheap.

Anyone else have an opinion if these are real Indian Sambar stag ?

I am pretty sure he means "per set". The only real sure way to find out is hit the "Ask seller a queation" button. 25 bucks a set is about average.

I would say that it is Sambar based on the surface texture and general appearance, not great Sambar but given the short supply today not all that bad.

These are genuine Sambar Stag!!!

They just did a poor job cutting them!

The price is dirt cheap in my opinion also, as we sell premium grade Sambar scales for between $25 - $40.00 set!!!! You are probably more familiar with the stuff that looks like these here!

Best regards,
Luca
