Sometimes things just get worse

Most people here know it has been a really bad past 18 months for my family.

I was asked to go to Florida to help clean up some of the mess from hurricane Frances and went to the east coast to work. Finally had a shot at making a few bucks to slow down the drain on my bank account.

I was only there ten days when my wife called to let me know that my mother passed away.

Just wanted to check in and let everyone know the latest in my world, Hope the rest of you are doing a lot better.

The Band said "Life Is a Carnival", but they had to be smoking something. It's a rollercoaster ride.

I am very saddened to hear of your mother's passing, Bob. It is always a special relationship. My mom died 15 years ago and I still "talk" to her often. Please know that she will always be there with you, and will still help her son with advice, for she will live on inside you.

May God give you and yours Comfort in your time of grief. Our prayers are with you for Peace and a brighter part of the "ride" in the future.

First a note of support for you taking the initiative and having the resourcefulness to go to Florida to help not only yourself, but so many others. Good on you. Knives will be here when you get back...

...and so will your mother. In spirit. Like they said, she will remind you and make you smile more than you will tear up about her loss. The tears and sadness are appropriate for you, too. I know it. My mom passed away suddenly four years ago.

Prayers are good. I'll think of you this weekend.

Coop

I also lost a parent this year. They will always be with you in your memories. May God be with you and your family in these times of loss.
